AGH EXECUTIVE TEAM

Arundel Group Holdings, LLC.  is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Under the direction of Executives; James J. Ellis and Lia S. Pennington, they are known for consistently leading with integrity, while maintaining an impeccable record of achieving long-term growth and profitability.

James J. Ellis, CEO

James J. Ellis began his career in engineering in 1983 as a field engineering intern and technician. During his college education he was progressively promoted in engineering disciplines including geotechnical, environmental, construction materials testing, civil and structural.  He culminated his career as a Vice President of the largest local geotechnical engineering firm in Houston, Texas.  In this role he managed all departments including accounting and finance.  He took this experience and started Petra Engineering.  Petra Engineering grew to a company of 30 engineers, technicians and administrative staff.  Petra provided its services to national chains including Home Depot, Chick Fil A, Rooms To Go, Waffle House, Target, Chuck E Cheese and Chili’s among many others.  After entertaining multiple offers Petra was sold and integrated into a much larger national engineering firm. During this time-frame, projects were designed, constructed and managed in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Illinois, Florida, South Carolina and Florida.  Upon the sale of Petra the first construction company was formed in Florida.  Drijam Construction began its work designing and building multiple projects for the Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach at St. Thomas More Church in Boynton Beach, Florida.  Other notable projects included the design and build of the Love Hate Bar in Miami Beach but the Historic Renovation of The Strand on Ocean Drive in South Beach, Florida.  This project included the complete gut and renovation of 100 year old hotel buildings and reconstruction into Hotel Condo Units.  The buildings included constructing a stainless steel swimming pool on the roof.  The buildings also had to be re constructed to the exact visual rendition of the building when it was originally built. Upon completion of this work the company was relocated back to Dallas and is now Arundel Design Build Contractors, LLC., a member of Arundel Group Holdings, LLC.

Lia S. Pennington, President

Lia S. Pennington is a results-driven healthcare executive with a demonstrated track record of over 19 years success in the, ASC, acute, post -acute and private practice healthcare setting.  Lia began her career managing small to mid-size orthopedic surgery private practices. Within 5 years she was leading a team responsible for adding significant ancillary revenue growth. This included the addition of physician owned or joint venture arrangement of ASCs, Rehabilitation centers, DME & Imaging centers.  After spending the next 6 years growing practices and completing  what would become the largest orthopedic practice merger in Texas at the time, she began building Top Healthcare Strategies, Inc. THCS is focused on providing top-level, profit driven solutions through strategic consulting and guidance offered to private practices and ASC CEOs, CFOs and other key executives and physician leaders. The next 2 years were spent on successful execution of projects ranging from practice mergers, separations, start ups and joint ventures. At this point her experience was exclusively in the outpatient space, limited to surgical specialties and focused in Texas. By 2013 this changed significantly. Through a series of contacts, Lia found herself  meeting with one of the largest healthcare companies in the country. This led to a career changing opportunity; she spent the next 7 years as a leader with Envision Physician Services. She was promoted from Regional Practice Director of Anesthesia Operations to Vice President of Surgical Services Operations. Collectively she managed 240+ surgeons, the largest surgical group in the country. In this role she developed, prioritized and directed key strategic initiatives, and was accountable for cross functional teams. This included; physicians, operational leaders, operations support, call center, accounting, legal functions and technology. She was able to successfully collaborate with physician leaders with maintaining a physician centric culture, driving improvements in the delivery of patient care and overall profitability. She has now taken both her local private practice knowledge, concierge consultant approach and combined it with her top notch corporate experience in the hospital, inpatient space to redesign Top Healthcare Strategies Inc., as part of the Arundel Group Holdings, LLC group of companies. This redesign will add a host of services for THCS clients including medical office space development, build out, and physician equity partnerships to name a few.
